when i tried without the plugin, the process would time out. when i tried with the WP All Import plugin, i got an internal service error
First, try setting the records per iteration down to 1 via the Import Settings: https://d.pr/i/Vakkd3.
If it terminates after that, then the only way to troubleshoot it is to check the error logs on your server. In this case, since your web host couldn’t find anything, please open a ticket at http://www.wpallimport.com/support/ with details on the issue so we can check your site.

hi, i ran the import again with those parameters. it didn’t time out this time, but it had errors and it skipped all of the items.

This log shows that the title/content/excerpt are empty:

You’ll need to edit your import and drag in import elements so that you have data in at least the title or content.
hi, i don’t know what you mean by “edit your import and drag in import elements”. edit it how?
also i’ve gotten the posts to import without the plugin previously and everything worked fine last year. then the images disappeared. now when i try to import i only get the posts or the timeout error. how could it have worked last year without the plugin and now they’re empty with the plugin or timing out?
all of these posts have images.

hi, i don’t know what you mean by “edit your import and drag in import elements”. edit it how?
Go to All Import -> Manage Imports and click “Edit Import” under your import (hover your mouse under the import to see the link). Drag your title/content import elements into the title/content sections, update the template, and re-run it.

Unfortunately the free version of WP All Import doesn’t support importing images into regular posts.
As for the timeout, we’ll have to troubleshoot it in the ticket you sent via our site.
i’m still not sure what you mean by “drag in import elements”.
i feel like this has been a waste of time since support doesn’t include photos. i can import the posts without the photos without the plugin. it’s the photo’s that i really need to import.
is there a point in continuing this ticket if i won’t be able to import the photos?
