Hi
First of all thanks for your job it is perfect
I actually use ” Foyer ” for internal display in a public school in France where the use of youtube for video hosting is prohibited. So is there a way to select a local video on my PC in order to display it ?
When I integrate it in a post, it only lasts the duration of the slide and sounds all way long during the other slides.

Self hosted video is one of the most requested features 🙂 I’m working on it and expect to release it within a couple of weeks.

PS. Foyer is not yet available in French, but if you are interested in translating some strings, any help is welcome..

Très cool!

Whenever Development (trunk) reaches 90% of strings translated into French I will be able to trigger language pack creation. After that moment every French WP install will see the translated strings when using Foyer.

Hey guys, sorry about the delay. Also looking forward releasing this feature, just couldn’t dedicate much time to Foyer in the last couple of months. Will improve 🙂 & donations are very welcome. Thanks for being patient!

Just released the self-hosted Video feature. Please let me know how this works for you!

PS. Not all video formats and encodings work on all browsers and platforms. Use MP4 files with H.264 encoding for best results.

Thanks a lot. I tried it and worked greatly.

Be careful to the video name, It had errors when video name had turkish characters. I changed them and it worked perfectly.

We were waiting for this update, great news for my school personal and students.

Thanks again for this great plugin…

@gunbaha, could you send over that video file, or a link, with the original filename, so I can test? Might be a WordPress or browser problem, but if it is a bug in Foyer I can fix it. Also what browser did you use?

Of course. I will send you file that causes problem with Turkish characters on next monday.
