Welp, I did have a visitor send me a screenshot of what the file directories looked like in IE9. It appears the styles are not loaded, so it’s just a big white table with no styles on the icons, table cell borders, gray background, or pagination styles.

Is IE9 just a casualty of moving on to newer browsers (which I totally get; a lot of my website looks a little ganky prior to IE10, and I’m always encouraging visitors and co-workers to upgrade since old IE is the Devil)… or might there be any way to get File Away to be styled in IE9?

    Thanks man!

I just checked on two of my sites and it looks fine for me in ie9 on both of them. Maybe something else is interfering? Let me know if you have any leads and I’ll chase them up.

Can you send me a link to your page so I can see how ie9 renders it for me?

It looks and works correct for me in ie9, ie8, and (kind of) in ie7. Have you tried? Use IE10, hit F12, and when the panel pops up, change the Browser Mode to different versions, as well as the Document Mode.

By the way, your page reminded me that I need to do Folders and Files in Title Case (not capitalizing conjunctions and prepositions). So I’m writing a function for that.

I just uploaded v. 1.7.5 which excludes prepositions and conjunctions from capitalization on breadcrumbs, folder/file names, and customdata. I know that’s not what you asked for. But it’s what you got.

Were you able to duplicate the problem with IE9? I still haven’t been able to.

I haven’t been able to duplicate it myself, but I ran some browser screenshot tests online and did come up with this:

    http://www.browserstack.com/screenshots/13434bd913a3b3f8e7daabc9397aa310a3231642/win7_ie_9.0.jpg

which looks like the screenshot that was emailed to me.

And FINE, I’ll take that capitalization update, but I’m NOT going to like it! 🙂

    Hmmm. OK. I’ll look further.

    Looks like it’s a windows 7/ie thing.

I tried it on my test site and it looks good in ie9/win7. It looks bad in yours in ie9/win7. Here’s a screenshot of my test site:

Hmm, I wonder if I have some plugins or something breaking that page. Sounds like something I need to dig into and work out since your plugin appears to work just fine. You’ve done enough — go make a movie or something!

    No no. LISTEN UP!

Please download File Away manually and overwrite current installation, then we’ll check again. I can check from my netbook, so let me know when you’re reinstalled.

The problem was the scripts and styles were not enqueuing in Win 7/ie 9, which is really weird because enqueuing scripts is a server-side thing, not a client-side. But I think I’ve fixed it.
