Hi,
Sadly I don’t have an IE10 installation to test this on but, as you say, it works fine in other browsers. Are you able to try it on IE10 on another machine to make sure it’s not just a problem with that particular installation?
David.
Thanks for helping, David.
Unfortunately, that problem is occurring regardless of what computer I’m working, so it seems to be a browser related problem rather than machine related…
Is it ALL the images on the page or just specific ones?
David.
It’s all the images except the featured images of each post. So basically all images that are integrated into the text…
(Sorry for all the questions) How are those images integrated into your post – from the page source they don’t appear to be be standard image embeds. Are you using a carousel or a plugin of some kind to display them?
David.
Glad you’re looking into that.
They’re standard embeds. I just integrated them directly from my media library. I’m just using a plugin (EWWW Image Optimizer) to reduce image size. Other than that, I just integrated them the standard way. I have the Jetpack tiled galleries/carousel plugin installed though. But deactivating either of the two mentioned plugins doesn’t solve the problem.
I think you’re also using Jetpack’s Photon function as well, looking at the URLs of the images. Can you try deactivating that to see if it makes a difference?
David.
That made the trick!
Now the watermarks of the images are messed up and stretching over the whole picture, but that’s another question then.
Thank you very much for your patience and help!
You’re welcome. Now that we know it was Photon, I’d suggest directing queries to Jetpack’s own support forum… https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/jetpack
They’ll be able to get to the bottom of the Photon issues way better than I could 🙂
If you’re happy to take it up at the other forum, please change the status of this post to “resolved” – that way other forum volunteers will know this issue no longer needs looking at.
David.
