    I have built a website that hold profiles, it also has a chatroom and booking system. I have a SSL licence installed too, the plugins are popular and effective and the site works really well. I am ready to launch the website and suddenly see i have had a couple of users appear, these users have not come through the registration process. How did they get by the registration system, who are they and where are they from and how can i stop it in the future?
    I have no idea about this subject at all so if anyone wants to give me a quick explanation whats happening i would appreciate it.

    You should install some anti-spam registration plugin to your WordPress, as well as scan your WordPress directory to see if there are any backdoors to your site. Are you using any plugin or theme from a non-trustful source?

    Thankyou for your help Hardeep, i have installed a highly rated Spam Stopper plugin, there are no un-trusted plugins in my wordpress site, when i started this site i was a complete novice and added a couple of bad plugins and it was a nightmare but i now realize the importance of trusted plugins.
