• I haven’t had much experience with page builders, mostly because I don’t trust them like I do my own code, but I chose Tailor after reading a blog post comparing different builders from a developer’s perspective. Alongside its “advanced” sister plugin, it seems like there’s very little this tool cannot do. I’ve been impressed with the ease of the interface, plus the responsiveness of the plugin author to support requests. Once I finish building my current project with Tailor, I will likely install it on my own personal website.

There are little quirks here and there; namely, I’ve had some trouble getting video embed shortcodes to work properly within Tailored content. There is also the issue of breakpoints not occurring where expected (e.g. many smartphones show “tablet” layouts instead of “mobile” ones), BUT Tailor apparently sources these from WordPress’ own definition of breakpoints, so until WP modernizes its native settings and/or Tailor allows breakpoint customization, I’ll just have to live with it (and add custom CSS).
