Invalid address when testing subscription form
-
Hi,
I have never been able to get the widget to work. I have a list selected and all but when I’m putting in an email to test the for on the front end, I get the sendpress=post meaning the “Thank you for subscribing”
BUT
right above it, I get “Invalid address: You must provide at least one recipient email address.”
When I verify if the email has been saved on the list, that’s a negative my list is at 0.
I also seem to have no success at adding emails manually from the back-end whether I do a single email or bulk email method of adding.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you find the debug info. Explained on this link. You can post here or email it to us at hello at sendpress dot com.
http://sendpress.com/support/knowledgebase/troubleshooting-plugin-and-theme-conflicts/
Might help pinpoint the problem.
Doug,
I set up a new WP site to see if my problem had to do with other plugins.
Apparently not.
I get the same result after trying to set the subscription for single optin then hitting the save button, I get the followong Fatal error message.
I want to use the optin form as a gate keeper for a Google handout entry and do not want the double optin here.
Please advise.Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Could not find caller class: originating method call is obscured.’ in /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/inc/functions.php:99 Stack trace: #0 /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/classes/views/class-sendpress-view.php(57): get_called_class() #1 /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/classes/views/class-sendpress-view-subscribers-listform.php(25): SendPress_View::redirect() #2 /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/sendpress.php(678): SendPress_View_Subscribers_Listform->save(Array) #3 /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-includes/plugin.php(406): SendPress->admin_init(Array, Object(SendPress)) #4 /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-admin/admin.php(111): do_action(”) #5 {main} thrown in /home/karen/public_html/sp/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/inc/functions.php on line 99
I’ve had one other report of that issue but have not received the debug info.
Could you please take a look at this article in our knowledge base and provide us with the information requested.

This may help us narrow down the problem or at least determine next steps.
Thanks,
Doug,
I am a free user, so far so this is the end game for me.
I asked HostGater tech where this problem could be happening.
They said it was no doubt in the code.
If I can’t get past this I can’t go Pro, Bro ya know ?
I admin a bunch of clients this would be great for.
NeilHi Neil,
Do you know what version of php you are running?
Thanks,
JoshHey Josh,
I let the default Twenty-eleven theme load and installed the plugin.
You want access to the site?
I am only testing on it.
http://www.sp.kitchward.infoHi Neil,
if you don’t mind giving me access that would be great. You can use: [email protected] to send the info to.
Thanks,
JoshDone
In your inbox.
ThanksI have the debug info. What I find weird is that the plugin works flawlessly on my local server that we use in the office to test the sites before uploading them to the web server. And this is with all the same plugins being used and active.
Anyways here is the debug info:

Thanks for posting the info. Everything looks right to me. I am looking into our post page to see if i can find something going on.
Best,
JoshIt actually looks like you are running WordPress 3.3.1. I don’t think we support WordPress that far back. Is there any chance you could upgrade to 3.4.2 or 3.5.1? I’m just wondering if Josh missed that when looking at the debug information.
Josh?
Hmmm. I will give it a try (it’s a real pain to update on a windows server) I’ll keep you posted once that’s done
I’ve updated WordPress to 3.5.1. When I enter an email in the widget to subscribe the thank you page comes up without the invalid address message BUT when I check in the back end, although a newsletter is selected in the widget, the email does not get saved.
Also, I still cannot add any emails in the backend whether it be a single email or through the multiple email section.
Hi eromano,
i did find a bug in the post page code. I am not sure if it is causing your issue but i will a patch for it soon. Would you mind running a test version of the plugin?
Thanks,
JoshI’d be happy to
