Deactivate and reactivate the plugin, if it does not work enable/disable other plugins and the theme also for checking if there is any conflict.
You can try using this code on your parent/child theme’s functions.php file as well.

Hi,
We have changed the file type validation for upload and download for better security. Please allow the file types ( extensions ) from wpdm settings:
same issue. Upload and download not working!
I downgraded version, the issue temporarily fixed, I’ll wait for another new update

Have you added the proper valid extension without dot(.) like apk?
Also, have you checked Mr Shafayet’s solution which is mentioned above?
