Invalid format error

When trying to publish I get an invalid format error. Inspecting the JSON in News Preview shows an error with this line:

"1. I tried two other cheaper ones from Amazon, and no thanks.\u00a0[\u21a9](#rf1-)","format":"markdown","textStyle":"default-body","layout":"body-layout"}]

Specifically the #rf1- if that is removed all is fine. It appears any post using a unicode character for a link back to a footnote in the article throws this error.

We have had some similar reports and have logged an issue to investigate this: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/issues/146

We can’t guarantee when this will be resolved, but we want to let you know it has been acknowledged.

The code snippet you posted in your first comment does not appear to be from the article in the link you supplied. Can you please provide the link for that post?
