Invalid JSON

The plugin (somewhat recently?) stopped functioning and now is giving this error in the console when trying to upload anything:

```
We are using v1.3.7.5 on WordPress v6.4.3 on PHP 8.2.

Last time I had checked, it was working fine.

As a follow up, this issue is related to the Database for Contact Form 7, WPforms, Elementor forms plugin. I tried setting the form to not be tracked/all other cookie/ip/etc. options disabled, etc,, but the uploader will fail with the invalid JSON error if the plugin is even activated.

Hello @efishinsea,

Yes, you are correct the problem is related to contact form 7 entries plugin.

There’s some kind of debugging I’m not sure if the developer/author forgot to remove this code.

For now the temporary solution is to remove this var_dump($file_name,$file);

thanks. Though even with that removed, while the files are uploaded to the file system, they do not get saved into the form field in the form, so something else is going on with that plugin. I will pass this back to them.

We are also having the same issue as @efishinsea
Form submission goes ok, but no files are uploaded/saved to Contact Form Entries plugin.

@davidtorresocana – check for whichever plugin you may be using to save form entries. The problem in my case was not Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload, but the Contact Form Entries by crmperks.com. You can test whichever plugin you are using by disabling/replacing it and seeing how uploads go after that.

The reliable Contact Form 7 Database Addon – CFDB7 worked fine for me.

We need to use Contact Form Entries by crmperks.com since we are using another of their plugins, WP Contact Form HubSpot. Actually, we are using Contact Form Entries only to get attachments over WP Contact Form HubSpot plugin.

@glenwpcoder the problem seems to be that both seem to be incompatible: files uploaded with Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload – Contact Form 7 are not being captured/saved by Contact Form Entries plugin.

I am not sure where the issues is, so maybe @glenwpcoder you could have a look?

As mentioned, until the CRM plugin gets this fixed, disable it and use Contact Form 7 Database Addon – CFDB7 to save anything for now.

It seems the issue was on Contact Form Entries plugin side. After updating that plugin to 1.3.7, the issue seems to be fix.
So, I think we can close this ticket.
