    It seems that after updating to version 3.2.9, there is now an error happening with every order, upon changing of the status to Completed.

    • Does the error occur with every product, or only certain types (e.g., variable, virtual, subscriptions)? Unfortunately I cannot tell – it’s not happening with every order. Most products on the site are variable products, but I’ve seen orders that don’t have this issue, though most do.
    • Are any custom code snippets (e.g., via the Code Snippets plugin) interacting with order status updates or payment gateways? Nope, nothing interacting there.
    • Could you try reverting to version 3.2.8 of the Braintree plugin to see if the error still occurs? This will help confirm whether version 3.2.9 introduced the issue. Just reverted, will report back to see if the error stops.

    I will do the conflict test if the issue persists after switching back to 3.2.8.

    Since you’ve reverted to version 3.2.8, we’ll wait to hear if that resolves the issue. If the error disappears, that’ll strongly point to a regression in 3.2.9 and we can flag it accordingly.

    If the issue does persist on 3.2.8, then the conflict test you mentioned would be the best next step.

    Hi, just following up here – it seems the issue was with 3.2.9, as things stopped happening upon switching back to 3.2.8. However, the site auto-updated the plugin to 3.2.9 again, and it seems to have somehow solved the issue (isn’t happening anymore).

    If it does start up again, I’ll re-open this thread, but you can close it for now.

    If you have a moment, would you be able to set up a staging site? It’ll give us a safe place to test and troubleshoot without affecting your live orders.

    To help us get a better picture:

    • Could you share a full screenshot of the order notes, with any sensitive info blurred? We just want to see the trail of what happened.
    • Which products trigger the error? Are they simple products, variations, or bundles?
    • Do they have complete product data (price, SKU, etc.)?
    • Did you make any changes in the order, say fulfilled it, issued a refund etc., before changing the status to Completed?
    • Could you reproduce it on a test order?
    • Any insights into the types of products affected? Given the number of plugins you’re running, it might be worth checking for conflicts as @saivutukuru had mentioned. Did you get a chance to? If so, did you notice anything unusual when toggling plugins or themes?
    • If you have Debug Mode enabled in the Braintree settings, can you head over to WooCommerce → Status → Logs and check if there’s anything in the error log? If so, feel free to share it with us. That could be a big help.
