• Please see the attached image from the Sydney Theme Customize Header section. This value, the Background Color of the header refuses to change. I’ve updated many other settings without issue. I’ve refreshed the page, logged out and back in and still this one value has an error. If I try to save/publish with an edit on the header background color, no other changes are able to be committed.

I have tried selecting global colors. I have typed in the color by hand. I have tried inoffensive hex codes like #FFFFFF and #000000 and the style editor rejects it all.

  • Hi @mkbrangan,

Sorry for the delay in response.

I did investigating the reported issue with my test site. I can’t reproduce the same issue. That being said, I am not sure if the issue directly related to the theme.

FYI: My test site running the latest version Sydney theme.

To troubleshoot your issue by yourself, please check whether your site’s system meets these requirements or not: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/about/requirements/.

Then access your site’s Site Health and fix any critical issue shown there. Ref: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/documentation/article/site-health-screen/.

Thanks for looking into this Kharis, though I am still getting this error, I was able to work around it by adding custom CSS for the header background color. I had previously gone to the hosting service to ask them what’s up and they said it’s probably the theme. For now I can move on and hopefully this issue doesn’t crop up in other attributes.

This happened to me too, repeatedly. There was no good reason for it, so after struggling for a while I made the decision to ditch the Sydney theme and move away from aThemes as a whole. I just don’t have any faith that their paid versions will be any less error-prone than their free themes are already well-known to be. Perhaps if they spent a little more effort on testing and proofreading, they would be a better prospect.
