My issue is that the way I have it set up that we have variations that are unique. Only one of each variation exists so if multiple people check out with it it creates a problem.

It seems that if a user adds a variation to their cart and goes to checkout that another user can also add it to cart if he gets to it before their purchase is complete.

Once the other user has it in cart, it obviously lets him check out.

I’ve seen the WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory labelled Hold Stock.

I don’t think that’s exactly what I need and it might cause weird checkout issues.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi there!

This may take some custom coding as WooCommerce does a decent job at controlling stock levels, but you are correct in that if someone has the product in their cart, someone else could also add it prior to checkout.

This document has some custom coding options that you can add to your site to prevent this. Please feel free to check it out and let us know if you need anything else!
