Inventory Quantity not correct

    I have set on a simple product page:
    Min Quantity: 2
    Quantity step: 2
    And:
    Manage stock? YES Activate inventory management at product level
    Inventory Quantity: 18
    Allow back orders? Not allowed

    At the frontend, I put this product in my cart and I set the quantity at 18 (I can’t go any higher) and I get a notice:
    You cannot add this quantity to your cart — we have 18 in stock and you already have 12 in your cart.
    But I still can select these 18 and go to the payment page….
    So this is not working correctly.

    Can you fix this?

    Somehow the error is gone today…
    I have no idea why, but is gone
