Invisible Sidebar

    I’m trying to convert my wordpress to the Vortex theme. When I choose preview in manage themes, the sidebar doesn’t appear at all. I can insert sidebar items from my old theme into sidebar.php and they appear just fine, so this isn’t really a problem. It just bugs me that all the code that is in the vortex template appears to do nothing? Am I missing a step somewhere?

    Each theme has different sidebar id.

    I don’t think the preview could show exactly what the site would look like. Some certain settings must be made specific to the theme in used.
