This is a great plugin. I was wondering if there was a way to use invitation codes for registrations that would bypass the approval process. I’ve used the New User Approve plugin separately but has anyone tried doing this with this plugin?

We already have an invite code feature available in the premium version. For more details, please check this link https://wpuserregistration.com/features/invite-codes.
