I have checked on our staging site and tried to print the invoices for the latest 3-4 WooCommerce orders. The invoice numbers are generated in sequence correctly.
Can you please let us know if there are any orders with the canceled or refunded status? I am asking this as it may lead to gaps in the numbering. Can you please share some information about the number of gaps that happened between invoice numbers?
Once we have this information, we can investigate the issue further and provide you with a more tailored solution.

Hi,
There are orders with status refund – but we generate invoices when they are completed – so they are not the missing numbers.
We have very view order with status canceled – so I dont think they are the problem.
