Hi, is this happening only to iPhone users or to anyone who is not logged in?

Can you try from another desktop browser like Chrome without being logged in? Does it work?

    Regards

Hi, I am using the free version and I have the same problem as well.
The plugin work perfectly with any browsers on windows and android devices, however my users failed to upload the files by iPhone. A progress bar is supposed to be seen after pressing the upload button, but this is not happened when uploading files with iPhone, and the upload wouldn’t started as well. How can this problem be solved?

This is my page with the following fields:
    – Order number(*required)
    – Phone no.
    – Email
    – Remarks
*only images in jpg / png / gif / bmp format are accepted, and the file size must not exceeds 8MB.

Login is not required for uploading file.

What iPhone did you try? I do not have an iPhone, but I tried with XCode iPhone 6 simulator and it worked fine.

Oooops, just found out that it was not the problem with iPhone, but some miscommunication with my users on input field data type. They had tried to input some character mixed with text and numbers into the number only fields and failed the data validation.

Is there any way in the plugin to let users know they have some invalid data input?

How did they manage to put invalid characters in the number fields?

Yes it is possible to add validation, there is a Validate property in Additional Fields. If you enable it, it will notify and will not allow the Upload. There is also Typehook property. If you enable it, then validation will happen during typing inside the field, so invalid characters will not be allowed.

They input characters in the number field which type hook is disabled. Just wonder why there was no warning message shown in UI to inform users about invalid data input after pressing the upload button. Anyway, I have solved the problem by changing the field data type to meet users needs.

Btw, an iPhone user told me that he got a warning message “The extension of the file does not match its contents.” after uploading any images in PNG format. The PNG images were taken by his iPhone 6 plus with iOS 10.3.2. Is there anything wrong with the image type checking?

The plugin uses WordPress inherent image functions to verify that the contents of the image file match its extension. If not, this warning message is generated, although the upload continues normally.
I tried to upload the image myself also and got the same message. WordPress thinks that this is a jpg image, that is why this this message is generated.

    Nevertheless, you can ignore it.

    Hi,
I tried it several times. Still my iphone users have problem to upload their files. However, android and windows users can upload without any issue. I also contacted to my host provider to check if there is something wrong with them. They checked and said there is no issue in their part and the issue is with the plugin itself !

Is this happening all the time? did they tell you what was the error?

They just select a file to upload, and the bar starts to be filled. However, after even 30 minutes nothing happens. Sometimes it just shows this error: An error occurred. The file is not uploaded

Do you have an IPhone? can you reproduce the error yourself as admin?

    Hi @nickboss

Here are the screenshots. I have to emphasis all android and windows users can upload without any issue. Just iphone users can’t upload ! I also contacted to my host provider to check with them if they blocked iphone users ( !!) and they said there is no issue and limitation in their side. As you see, it down’t show any specific error number !

    Dear Nickilas

I’m still receiving the same complain from my users. They can’t upload when they are using iphone. They usually have this issue specially when they are using VPN. However, my android users upload without any issue with or whiteout vpn. Since the error doesn’t show any error number, I can’t figure our what the problem is exactly. It just shows a red error showing the file is not uploaded
