IP address causing traffic surge

    Over the last couple of days there has been a huge surge in traffic to my blog. All of this can be tracked largely to one IP address and to one post been indexed in Google Images. Is there anyway I can block being indexed in Google Images? Has anyone had this problem? Should I just let it be or can this cause issues?

    Some people would welcome the traffic but if you wish to keep your images from being indexed by Googlebot add to your robots.txt file …

    User-agent: Googlebot-Image
    Disallow: /

    For me, putting that in my robot.txt file has not helped. I’m still able to get my site’s images in googles image search results. I even put a block in my .htaccess file with no decrease in my images being indexed.
