Hello @jenomal thank you for opening a support topic with us. IP-Anonimyzation is enabled by default for Google Analytics 4. There is no option to switch it off.
You can find more information on this at the [GA4] EU-focused data and privacy page. Is there anything else I can help you with?
hi, thanks for your reply. HOW / where can i check if Google Analytics 4 is activated for my website?
if its not, how can i convert it to Google Analytics 4?
@jenomal No problem at all. If you are using Site Kit then you should now be using GA4 on your site as you will have been prompted to set this up prior to Universal Analytics(UA) being sunset and replaced by GA4.
If you are still unsure what you are using on your site I’d be happy to check this for you. To do so please share your website URL here or you can share this privately using this form.
i just replied to the form…. where will i get an answer?
@jenomal Thank you for sharing your website URL. When checking your website using the Google Tag Assistant, I can see a GA4 property on your website. As mentioned previously, IP-Anonimyzation is enabled by default for GA4.
I can also see that you are currently not using the Google Site Kit plugin. If you wish to try the plugin then you can choose to place your Analytics code snippets using the plugin or simply connect the ones you already have on your site. You can also connect other Google services such as Tag Manager and AdSense where you can see data for all services in Site Kit’s dashboard.
You can find out more information on the plugin as well as how-to and help guides here. If you have any further questions on Site Kit then I’d be happy to address these for you.
