IPad and IPhone problems
-
Hi,
as awesome as this plug in is, it doesn’t behave as expected on my Ipad and Iphone 5. The tooltips open on click, but refuses to close no matter how and where I click. Is there some way to remedy this?
All the best

Hi Johan
thanks for noticing this bug
I’ve changed the events handler on my site http://www.BlueSkills.net, so please visit it with your IPhone and IPad and tell me if the problem is solved ?
if so I will upload a new versionHi,
thanks for the swift answer.
Now it works much better. The tooltips open as they should and they close if another tool tip is clicked. However, if you click on the actual or “live” tooltip to close it, it closes as it should but then immediately reopens itself again! So you can’t get rid of it. And it covers other content beneath, which is a problem, especially on phones.
It would be great to be able to click on the tooltip hot spot on the we page and then click on the actual tooltip to close it. I understand that there might be clickable content within the tooltip (like links) so maybe some sort of hot spot can be a solution?
All the best
Johanok please retry to visit the site
I have entirely removed the animations in order to fix this bug
I hope this works this time : BlueSkills.netHi,
this is much better.
Still, the tooltips won’t go away if you click on them, though. Problematic on pads and especially phones. π
All the best

thanks for your collaboration π
I will work on this for the next versionsHi,
that’s great! When is the next version due? Hopefully soon, since it’s such a great plug in. I’ll rate it.
Johan
thank you for your rating π
Hello Jamel,
A relative of mine has an iPad 2 and though the tooltip opens correctly, he can not close the tooltip. The only way he get rid of it is to click on an image if it is there or reload the page. Greetings.Hi Johan
please tell him to visit http://www.BlueSkills.net and try to show and hide tooltips cause I think that I’ve just fixed it now (I hope so)Thanks for your reply. I called him tot try the keywords on your webpage. The behavior was the same π Tested on latest Safari and Chrome browsers ios 7.1.2 iPad 2

Ninjamankid I think this allows me finally to tag this thread as resolved πAwesome! I can’t see the close button on my IPhone, but I have to figure out how to clear the cache for that. Excellent work!
