Ipad "authenticating" error

I am self hosting my blog and am trying to my ipad to sinc with my blog. Every time i try to enter the information requested by the app (chosing “add self-hosted wordpress blog” rather than the other two offers) I get stuck on “authenticating” and my ipad progresses no further.

I am not sure if i am entering the requested info wrong or of if app is just glitchy. Under URL i assume i have to enter http://www.website.com/blogname rather than just http://www.website.com (to be sure i tried both ways). After entering this i see that “XML-RPC” appears but i am not clicking on that. I then enter the username and password i use on the control panel for Apollohosting (my hosting company). I edit my blog using their WordPress App (not sure if that makes a difference). Then i see “authenticating” and i get no further.

is there anyone out there who can help me get my ipad sinced?
