    Hello McGuive7,
Like many others, I am experiencing difficulty with accessing sub-category menu on ipad and iphone. I recently installed JQuery, and it seems to have helped, but has not completely solved the problem.

Previous to installing your JQuery, the sub-category menus would appear only for a split second. After installing JQuery, they remain for a several seconds (and are functioning), but the menu eventually disappears. Here is the site: http://www.plushhome.com

    Could you advise? Thank you.

    Hi there,

I’m not sure I understand your problem. I took a look at your site and the select menu is appearing as expected (however you seem to have removed the default tab/icon indicator for submenu items). Can you confirm if the problem still exists, and if so, what exactly it is?

    Thanks!

    Hi McGuive,
Thank you so much for your response. Let me preface by saying that although I am maintaining our website, I did not create it….so my knowledge of wordpress and terms are very limited.

The issue still exists. On ipads and iphones, the sub-category menu does NOT remain visible long enough for a user to make a proper selection. For instance, if you tap “Upholstery”, the sub category menu of (beds, barstools, dining chairs, etc…) is visible for a quick second only.

If it’s easier or more productive to speak offline and/or for me to provide you with our login info, please advise.

    Thank you!

    Hi again,

Hmmm, I just tested your site on my brand new iPhone and it’s working totally fine. You don’t have to tap a top-level menu item to get the sub-level menu item to display, they all output automatically in the select menu, so they’re all visible regardless. I was able to just navigate successfully to the beds page, for example. All I had to do was click the select menu, which pops open the native iPhone selector, then I just scrolled down until I had selected the “Beds” item, then I clicked done (or on older phones just click out of the selector). It all worked fine for me.

I’m marking this as resolved because it seems to be working, but please re-open this if it’s still not for you. If so, please describe the issue you’re facing in as much detail as possible. Thanks!
