    Hi David-

    I’m having the familiar issue of not getting successful IPNs back from my sandbox Paypal account. The transaction looks fine on Paypal’s end, but communicating back with the site is failing. I’ve pasted the IPN section of the log showing a recent failure below.

    I’m on shared hosting at Siteground and using Let’s Encrypt for the SSL. However Siteground has cURL version 7.30.0 and have told me they won’t upgrade to 7.34.0. Could the outdated cURL version be causing this issue? Please let me know if you need more of the log to determine the root cause of the problem. Thank you!

    I just took a peek at the Paypal sandbox account for my merchant. Although I have the https IPN URL entered in the account, it seems the IPNs are being sent to the deprecated non https URL. This seems like it could be a contender for what is showing in the log. Any idea why its not picking up the correct URL? How is Paypal even getting the deprecated version?

    Have you done any URL changes to the site configuration? And can you give me your ticket ID so I can check it further (I am with SiteGround )

    Hi Hristo. No URL changes to the site configuration. The ticket ID is 1802924.

    If the problem is not related to cURL, then I will continue to investigate the issue.

    I think it’s the Curl version. Had a talk with our CTO and he assured me that they have already initiated the update procedure so it should be updated by the ned of the next week. I will update you right after the new version is in place so you can test again.

    Hi Hristo- As of this morning I no longer have a warning on my Seamless Donations settings page, so that looks good. I’ll try some sandbox transactions today to see if the issue is resolved. Thanks!
