I can see 3D secure is supported by Stripe but is it enabled by default with the woo plugin? My clients banks wants to make sure they have Visa Verified enabled with looks to be done via 3D secure.

    Hi there,

Yes, the WooCommerce Stripe extension does support 3D Secure (3DS), which includes Verified by Visa and Mastercard Identity Check.

    To clarify:

    • 3D Secure is enabled by default in the Stripe plugin when you’re using Stripe payment methods.
    • The actual 3D Secure authentication is triggered automatically by Stripe during checkout when required by the customer’s bank, such as for SCA compliance or cards enrolled in Verified by Visa.

You don’t need to manually enable it — Stripe handles this automatically as part of the payment flow.

If you wish to test the 3D Secure checkout flow on your store, you can use one of the 3D Secure test cards with the Stripe extension in test mode.
