I upgraded to WordPress 4.0.
So far the only problem I have is
on page=catablog-gallery
the “Make New Gallery” tab is grey and seems disabled.
Hi, It sounds like you might have a plugin conflict. Deactivate all your plugins except this one and enable one by one to see which one is having a conflict.

Sorry – user error.
I did not remember that I had to put the proposed new gallery name in the field to the left of the “Make New Gallery” that says “+ New Gallery Name”
to activate the Make New Gallery Button. I was thinking that the “+ New Gallery Name” was to rename a Gallery.

My needs changed. I no longer use CataBlog so I cannot say one way or the other if it is now compatible with WordPress 4.0
