So erm, this is a bit of a silly question. But how do I know if it’s working? And also, does one simply do a standard link in one’s navigation to link to it? I’ve really no idea how this works at all!

    Thanks,

    vener

If your WP is working? Make a post and see if it shows up?

Yes, if you have another home page and want to make a link to your blog, then a standard link would do it.

Well, it shows up for me, but I’m already in the forest. Otherwise, I think the thing is an orphan. I really don’t yet know the technicalities of a blog. I am rather assuming that the thing is a kind of active webpage. So if it’s not linked from somewhere, who is to know it’s out there?

Of course I could be awfully wrong. I installed this thing fro Fantastico, something provided by cpanel. I take it then, the URL is http://mydomain.ext/blogname/, yes?

If you click on the “View site” link at the top of your admin pages, that should be your url.

As for getting it out in the public eye, that’s part linking, and part marketing. :)
