• I’m currently building a magazine style site for culture news and opinions. I want to setup a columns section for a few different people to blog on and I wonder which way to go. I explored wordpress multisite a little bit but I’m not 100% sure if it’s what I’m looking for. I want the users to have a single page with the main sites sidebar, header and footer. So basically just another page of the site but where that person can blog. I can clarify more if needed but does anyone know if WordPress MU is what I’m looking for?

    Any help is appreciated o.O

MultiSite is best for separate blogs. If you have no need for the sites to be separate, and instead just want to have multiple people on one blog, you don’t need it.

I really appreciate the response. With that being said, how would I go about setting up columns/blogs for my site with restrictions. Could I limit them to the categories they can post in since the site and areas of content is driven by the categories. So, Joe’s blog (aka. section of site is more like it), how would I restrict him only posting on that page? Is categories the only way? Have him only be able to post in a category called “Joe” or something? I need there to be some sort of restrictions.
