    Hello,

When trying to bulk resize old images, I get a “Is not writable” error on all pictures. Why is that? They are all in the uploads folder.

Because the permissions are not correct. Your webhost can probably run a “permissions reset” for you if you don’t know how to fix them yourself.

Permissions look fine. Folder has 755 permission on the ftp. Works on 5 of my sites, but not this one. Even though they are exactly alike.

Check the files themselves, and compare that to your other sites.

I found the issue. It’s trying to resize pictures that does not exist anymore. Folders from 2016. I guess they still exist in the media library even though the actual picture files are deleted from the ftp.

Ah, that would certainly do it. It only searches the metadata in the database when scanning for images to resize, so it’s entirely possible for it to ‘find’ images that no longer exist on the ftp.

    Good luck!
