Is SMTP required?

    Is SMTP required to receive email notifications when forms are complet? Or does WPforms have a way of sending notification email to the [email protected] (my email)? There seems to be a video online that indicates that one can simply receive completed form notifications to the site “admin email” {admin_email}, this however, has yet to work for me. I am fine with installing an SMPT plugin, but I would ideally minimize the amount of plugins I install.

    Hi @grantly,

    If you’re having issues with email delivery, the issue is likely due to strict email spam prevention settings that is wrongly detecting the notification emails as spam.

    To resolve email delivery issue, you could configure a SMTP plugin on your site so emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.
