What to display: User photos
Username: bryanbrazil
Category: Any
Sort by: View count
Cache lifetime: 2 seconds
No matter what I set “Sort by” to, it always returns the latest photos.

I tried to do the same and I get different result for 2 sorting methods.
This is strange.
Try to update plugin to v0.4.
And maybe re-create (delete and add) widget can help you.
Updated to 0.4 and recreated the widget. Still only getting the most recent photos.
My site is hosted by wpengine.com and they have caching turned on. I tried deleting their cache, but still no luck. I wonder if it has something to do with their setup?

I replaced file_get_contents with wp_remote_get.
I hope it can helps.

I installed 0.5 and removed/readded the widget. Still no luck, it only displays the latest images.

I think maybe I was misunderstanding how the plugin works. I thought if I told it to display 9 of my user photos sorted by views, it would show my 9 photos with the most views. But it appears it doesn’t do that. It looks like it selects the most recent 9 photos and then sorts them.
Would it be possible to make the plugin sort on all the photos for a user, then select the desired number of photos?
