Hey Johan,
That level of compression is fairly normal, the headline is the size of your site uncompressed whereas the size shown per backup is the size of the resulting zip file.
Well done Tom.
I am with hostgator.
I got this error message:
{"mysqldump":{"a8076ae255095098cb6a393b9e01429c":"mysqldump: Got error: 23: Out of resources when opening file '.\/johanhor_johanmu\/wp_799_term_relationships.MYD' (Errcode: 24) when using LOCK TABLES\n"}}
I got the following message back from Hostgator:
Unfortunately, after testing this issue, it seems that the server is killing the process because it is taking too long due to the size of the backup. On shared hosting, there is nothing that can be done about this.
If you require the use of this plugin, or one like it, you will need to move to a VPS or a dedicated server in order to avoid the kill scripts employed on shared hosting that keep the processor and memory usage within certain limits for the health of the server.
But I am getting regular message of the backup being complete
BackUpWordPress has completed a backup of your site http://ilocals.info.
Unfortunately the backup file was too large to attach to this email.
You can download the backup file by clicking the link below:

Given the error message and the note from Hostgator it looks like the backup was done.
Do you agree?
Thanks again for the plugin.
Hey Johan,
It looks like they are killing the database backup before it can complete.
I’d recommend downloading a one of your backups and checking that it all looks ok.
