I red the following in the description area of the plugin: “My plugin hides the predefined text, through a shortcode and based on your choice, leaving the remaining one visible to the search engines.”
Also, I red the following: “Robot defense – creating a barrier against content scrapers that are looking to steal content.” here https://www.cyber-duck.co.uk/insights/hide-and-peek-uncovering-continue-reading-buttons , and now I’m confused even more.
This is not my website so I cannot answer about this article.
All I can imagine is that the author of this article is warning against visual scrapers.
You can test our plugin on your own, which will be the best move in order to verify that your content is not hidden from search engines.
But the first sentence is from your plugin’s page 🙂 Said so, it sounds like the hidden text will be hidden from search engines too and only the remaining text content will be visible.
