Is the plugin maintained?

    Since there is a warning that the plugin has not been updated the last three versions of WordPress, I wonder if it is maintained? I am thinking of compatibility with PHP8, WP5.6-soon 5.7?

    For me this plugin stopped my pages created PRE project Gutengerg and updates after displaying the updates (those added since were fine, could be updated; those not needing updates were fine). For some reason if I made updates to pages they were saved an older cached version, even pages with no footnotes.
