Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Yes, there’s an “Insert Link” button below the table input fields, which you can use here. If these documents have been uploaded to the WordPress Media Library, you could also click the “Insert Image” button to insert a link to these documents.

Tobias
Hi thank you for the quick response Tobias! I found the button now and it does work! Also, generally I am very pleased with the Tablepress plugin and I use it a lot.
However, as I have a rather long index table that has to link to a bunch of documents I keep having to scroll a few screens down to click either the Insert Link or the Insert Image the button, because the editing bar does not stay in position in screen as it would in a normal wordpress page. So it’s actually still a lot of work to use the button.
Also I have multiple links per cell (every row representing a tab in a manual with several documents in it), which makes the links bit to position with the button that is geared to only putting one link in any given cell.
So I’m finding with the current layout it is actually still less work to copy-paste the code and then the link to the Media Library document into the code… but at least I now am sure I’m not wasting my time doing that!
So a suggested improvement would be to keep the table editing buttons on a fixed bar that stays in view when you scroll the screen, that would be great adaptation to make this app even more user friendly.
Thanks very much! Josselien from Holland
Hi,
thanks for the feedback! I’m indeed considering something like a fixed toolbar for a future release 🙂
In the meantime, you could maybe also take a look at the “Advanced Editor”. You could either also open that via the button below the table input fields, or simply hold the “Shift” key while clicking into a cell. That will bring up the “Advanced Editor” for that cell, and it will also have buttons for links and images 🙂

Tobias
Thanks Tobias! I will certainly check that Advanced Editor out – and I look forward to the fixed toolbar. Tschuss! Josselien
Hi,
no problem, you are very welcome! 🙂 Good to hear that this helped!
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
