    Hello,

    Considering using your plugin. Can you please tell me if this plugin is lightweight?

    Are you using JavaScript or any kind of heavy coding?

    Hey there,
    It should be lightweight.

    As far is as remember it does not using JavaScript or any kind of heavy coding.
    The only thing that outputted to the page is a simple subscribe checkbox and the rest is on the back-end.

    Should be easier to give it a try and decide or check yourself if it slow the site.

    I just installed your plugin and I have some concerns.

    1. I have our comments set to where it deletes them automatically if they add a url or bad words. When I added a dummy comment with a url in it the Akismet deleted the comment but you kept the subscriber. This subscriber you kept had the email of [email protected].

    2. This is a huge concern for me because we have many false comments with pornography, urls and bogus wording that has nothing to do with our website.

    Your plugin at this moment offers no restrictions.

    Any thoughts on this would be great. Can you update your plugin to only accept subscribers if approved by admin, delete subscribers if comment is trashed or marked as spam.

    On our website no comments are automatically posted. They get approved first by us.

    Can you fix this?

    By the way it is somewhat lightweight. It is around 71KB. A lightweight would be more around 30KB or below :).

    Hey thanks for your comments,

    As it’s a free plugin and i have no intention of turning it into pro version in the future i only do the minimum code required for me and my sites and I just share it here on wordpress.

    Most people will find it as good enough, some won’t (like you) and in your case if it’s really important you should probably find different plugin.

    Sorry I won’t be able to help with your concern. And about the plugin size you should check what outputted to the page. The size of the plugin folder has nothing to do with the important question, which is if the plugin slow your site load time or not.
