Isotope filter

I like your plugin very much, but I was wondering I there was a way to filter my gallery so that it will show different categories?
-
Hello lisayt,
Thank you for using our plugin!
Are you using a plugin to make your galleries, or ar you using the WordPress default gallery code (sample: [gallery ids="16,15,14"] )?If you are using the WordPress default one, you can make a post with 1 gallery from a specific subject and other posts with another gallery/post.
Like this your galleries are sorted.Regards, Danny
I used Grid Wud to create a portfolio page of my projects (pods custom post type). It looks great and shows the projects I have entered so far. What I would like to do is have buttons above the grid so that users could filter the grid to see only the projects the would like to see, like all videos or photographs and then go back to showing all of them.
Hello lisayt,
Before we can do this we need to have some unique ID to filter the images.
By the WordPress images there is no unique ID, the only fields that i know are: URL, title, caption, alt text and description. So it’s a huge work to realize this …
Before i say, yes i do it … i have to analyse my source code.
So i come back later on this request.Regards, Danny
I have created the custom post type with the Pods Framework. this framework allowed me to create custom categories. So each image or project is linked to a category. this is the value that would like to use to filter.
I will check this Pods Framework and come back to you as soon i know more.
Grid-WUD is using the WP Gallery so i have to check or i can do the same with using the Pods Framework categories.
Regards, DannyThanks for your help, I appreciate it!
After release 1.2.0 is released i will check this feature.
Regards, DannyHi Danny,
Thank you for looking into my issue with my Custom Post Type and the Isotope filter.
I also have another problem and it has to do with the Custom Post Type again. In the options for Grid WUD there is an option to Show Category/Tag on the grid. I think this is a great idea, however, when I select it, it displays the name of the Custom Post Type but not the Categories that I assigned to my Custom Post Type.
For example, the Custom Post Type I created is called “Projects”, but the categories for these projects are Photography, Video, Web Design and Print Design. So when I select Show Category/Tag, all the items say “Project”.
Is there a way to change the target of this option so that it points directly to my custom post type?
Thanks for your help,
LisaHi Lisa,
Which plugin you are using for the Custom Post Type?
The plugin i’m using haves no categories.Regards, Danny
The plugin I used to create the Custom Post Type is Pods. It allows me to create the post type with categories. It is a great plugin and works well.
I investigate now this plugin and try to find out how it works.
NEVER use this … it removed all my posts on my test website …
Just handy to know 😉Reset Pods
This will reset Pods settings, removes all of it’s data, and performs a fresh install.
Please Note: This does not remove any items from any Post Types, Taxonomies, Media, Users, or Comments data you have added/modified.I’m a happy user who backup things 🙂
Regards, Danny
Danny are you saying the reset deleted all your posts?
Hi Scott,
Unfortunately … yes.What i did:
– installed your plugin.
– created custom taxonomy
– give it Singular and Plural label
– Saved it
– Reset Pods
and my post was gone … (nothing bad , it’s a test site)I have restored my site and test it again, but now the post remains.
So don’t know really what caused this issue.
If it happens again, i let you know.@lisa, sorry for the inconvenience, it’s my mistake to post a reaction like this, instead to investigate the issue better.
I gonna try to implement this plugin, so you can display the categories.Regards, Danny
that’s ok, I am happy to know that you are working on it. Thanks 🙂
I have promised you that i work on it after version 1.2.0, so i do 🙂
from 1.2.0 on we can talk about a stable release, so now it’s time to do some more.
Can you send me a mail: [email protected] so we can discuss some things concerning the configuration like it is on your website?
It would be great 😉Regards, Danny
