Issue connecting with google from shared hosting

    Hello I have a problem connecting with google+ from shared hosting. In localhost everything works great, but when I switch to real hosting it gives me this error Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in /wp-content/plugins/social-connect/google-plus/Google/IO/Curl.php on line 133
    Any ideas why is this happening?

    Which version of PHP is running on your shared host? My first guess is that it is using a old version. Might be also a problem with the PHP configuration. Just guessing.

    Hello Rodrigo, thank you for your response. My PHP version (on the shared hosting) is 5.4.35. May it is something with the configuration of the php.

    Ok, I found the problem. You have to have atleast php 5.5 to run social connect.
