I’m having trouble saving custom posts with Yes/No fields. When I check the Yes/No field and attempt to save the post, the save fails in most cases. Upon reloading the post, the Yes/No field appears unchecked.

I’ve flushed the cache and tested it with different browsers, but the problem persists.

Post content or fields can at times fail to save without warning if the expected field, or any other field on the page is set as required, but is not filled out.

Is it the case that any field is marked as required? Does it resolve the issue if they are no longer marked as required?

If only the Yes/No field is marked as required, please note the inline documentation that displays next to the setting:

Please note: When Yes/No fields are required, the field must be set to Yes (checked) to be able to submit the form.

So if any Yes/No field is required, the post will not save if the field is not checked.

Unfortunately, required fields do not yet have validation feedback due to limitations in the WordPress core Block Editor APIs.
