Issue when switching languages | ww.wp.xz.cn

I have a site that uses 2 languages (spanish and english) i’ve a custom php function to switch between /es/ /en/ in the url. The problem comes when i switch to en when i try to switch back to es, no matter what my code says, qtranslate adds a ?lang=en to the end of the href replacing my custom string. Cant find a way to avoid this, any help will be much apreciated thanks.

both languages refer to the same… /en

Do you use the menu language selector or the widget?

If it is a custom code please first try the menu or widget.

I dont use a menu on my theme, I might try the widget. Isn’t there another way that I could generate a link to each languaje?.

Nope no luck, even with the code you supply using the flags, when i switch to english it seems to change every href pointing to the site root to http://*link*/?lang=en instead of changing the parameter /ES/ even though i’ve configured the plugin to prepath mode.

Problem solved! it was a conflict with another previously installed plugin. Thank you very much for your time and advice gunu.
