Hi @shaominchua
I followed the steps below and noticed the fonts in the download button is not being changed after using Rewrite and Republish method:
- Create a post and edit using Elementor.
- Added a container and inside the container added a download button. Publish the post.
- Then I used the Rewrite and Republish method from WordPress dashboard > Posts overview area.
So it seems the issue is specific to your site. Can you kindly check conflict?
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Hello since you are editing the pages with Elementor.
Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts
Issue persisted even after deactivating all the plugin except Elementor and Yoast Duplicate. Steps to replicate
- Create a page and add in the Header Widget and Use Global Font & Typography. Once done, published the page
- After publishing the page, select ‘Rewrite & Republish’ button. Use the duplicate function in elementor to duplicate the header widget.
- Save Draft. Exit WordPress.
- Reaccess the drafted post to published.
- On preview, the font and colors looks ok. Once it republish, the customize font and styling is gone.

Figured out that once i ‘Regenerate Files and Data’ in Elementor. The layout and typography will be ok.
Not sure why i need to regenerate my files and whether this is an issue with elementor
