Issue while using 'Drag & Drop Featured Image' plugin

    Hi Dave,

    On several websites I created, I use ‘Drag & Drop Featured Image’ plugin by Jonathan Lundström [https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/drag-drop-featured-image/]. While this plugin is installed and activated, the “Featured Image Content Requirement” option (checked) doesn’t recognize that a feature image was uploaded and set, so that it’s impossible to publish any post. On such websites, the only way to be able to publish a post is to uncheck the “Featured Image Requirement” checkbox.

    If you could have a look on this please?

    I have added support for the Drag & Drop Featured Image plugin in the next release. Thanks for the suggestion!

    The Drag & Drop Featured Image plugin adds a setting called “Publish / update post after selecting a featured image” that will bypass the functionality of my plugin. I’m sure you are aware of that, though. Just be sure to leave that option off and everything should work fine.

    Hi Dave,

    Indeed, I saw the “Publish / update post after successful image upload” option into ‘Drag & Drop Featured Image’ settings. I think this option is “off” by default which is a good thing.

    Sorry about the delay here… its taking a bit longer to implement the next release.

    Find a custom zip of this plugin at the link below. This should fix the problem with the drag&drop plugin.

    I’ve just installed and tested this version on a staging site, works perfectly with ‘Drag & Drop Featured Image’ plugin. Thanks!

    I’m considering making an add-on plugin for this and other 3rd party functionality. So, it may not make it into any production version. Still weighing the options on this one.

    I will let you know either way, once that becomes clear to me. Good thing is that either way it goes, this functionality will be available in repo plugins.
