• The latest update of the plugin resulted in fatal errors on my site:

[25-Nov-2015 18:31:03 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method WPSEO_Utils::is_yoast_seo_page() in …/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/google_search_console/class-gsc.php on line 65

I had to deactivate to get my site back online.

Any ideas what could cause that?

  • It looks like a problem with some plugin files. Removing the plugin and adding it again might solve the problem.

OK, I tried this…deleted the plugin (using FTP so I’d keep my settings) then reinstalled. Still getting a 500 server error and this in the error log:

[11/25/15 6:10pm] PHP Fatal error Call to undefined method WPSEO_Utils::is_yoast_seo_page() in …/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/google_search_console/class-gsc.php on line 65

Do you suppose it’s the settings?

    Same here.

I don’t know if that will apply to you, but the issue for us was our server opcache…needed to be flushed, then it was all good.
