• Hi,

Ever since some months ago, a Jetpack update has rendered the browsers back button useless. Now every page I visit within the admin panel or the website itself, the browser history always creates a duplicate entry, thus whenever a user presses the back button he never leaves the current page, stuck in a loop of duplicate entries in the history.

I’ve looked into the issue and disabling Notifications fixes the issue immidiately. I love the feature and I don’t wish to disable it (tho the RTL design part of it is a little messed up compared to the LTR), so can somebody please look into it?

I’m using WP 4.7 (Arabic [RTL]) and latest version of Jetpack.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the report.

We’ve received no other reports of this problem, but this could indeed be a conflict between Jetpack’s Notifications module and another feature on your site.

Could you try to activate Notifications again, and then try to deactivate each one of your plugins, one at a time, and let me know if you find a plugin that seems to create that conflict?

    Thanks!

Sorry I hadn’t made that clear in OP, but I’ve already done that and there’s no conflict, it’s all Jetpack’s Notifications fault. Please test it yourself.

@donlk I’m really sorry, somehow I missed your first reply, I didn’t receive any notification about it.

I still can’t reproduce the issue, but I’d be happy to take a closer look at the problem on your site. Could you use this contact form to send me more information about your site, so I can run some tests with you?

    Thanks!
