Hi,
Thank you!
I did a fresh install of Easy Appointments for that video.
this video shows the steps I did: https://vimeo.com/1081397069/3f40bc6e87
And this is the calendar showing after submitting a booking for 10:45: https://i.ibb.co/DDdnv6Lp/Screenshot-2025-05-05-084505.png
It should block only one slot before and after the submitted appointment.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing this. It seems to be a configuration issue on your end. To fix it, try setting the Slot Step to match the Duration (30 mins), and set both Block Before and Block After to 0. This should prevent unwanted slot blocking. Please refer to this screenshot.
Additionally, go to General Settings, find the option “Busy slots are calculated by same“, set it to “Service”, and save the changes.
Please try this and let us know if it works for you.

Hi,
thank you for your message. So my goal is, that the Service duration is 30 mins and that there is a 15 min timeslot blocked after each service. I changed the Duration to 30 mins now (and the slot step too).
I will explain how I, as a user, expect the plugin to work so we can see which mistakes I do while configuration and if there might be issues/ bugs:
When trying to configure my goal and since the blocked timeslot after a service is just 15 minutes, I might think: Okay, I have to set the slot steps to 15 minutes so the plugin has the chance to block 2 times a 15 minute slot beginning at the slot the people book plus an additional 15 minutes slot for follow-up/clean-up/whatsoever.
Let’s come to a behaviour which is, I guess, a bug:
When setting it up like you suggested and then adding a 15 minutes block AFTER the service, I can see that it blocks a 30 minutes time slot BEFORE the service. For fun, I tried to set a 15 minutes block BEFORE the service and it blocks (as expected since the time slot step is 30 minutes in this configuration) the timeslot before too. So there might be a bug.
Finally I provide some notes on how the calendar/plugin behaves in detail, when I configure it as mentioned in my first message:
When filling out the form & selecting a prefered time slot, e. g. 12:00, it correctly marks two 15-minutes-slots (12:00 & 12:15). After submitting and reloading the page I can see an updated version of the calendar: Here we can see, that it correctly blocked an additional timeslot after the service (12:30) BUT also two slots (so 30 minutes) before the service. This suggests that there is an error in the function that triggers the blocking of a time slot after a service.
I hope, these information help you (and me) in some case to either find the right way to configure it or to improve the functionality of your plugin. (since I don’t know if it’s a bug or my fault)
Hi,
We have raised a GitHub ticket regarding this concern and it will be addressed in an upcoming update. We kindly request your patience in the meantime.
Here is the Ticket.
Hi,
Hope you are doing well. We have just released an updated version 3.12.12 in which this issue has been addressed. Kindly update the plugin to the latest version, clear your cache, and give it a try.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I tried the new version on a fresh local installation of wp to be sure that other plugins are not involved into errors.
I configured it so that a service has a duration of 15 mins, slot steps are 15 mins and that there is a “break” (block after) after the service of 15 mins.
Unfortunately, there is still the issue, that the 15 minutes before the booked slot are now blocked too (and as expected the 15 mins after the booked slot).
I additionally tested following configuration as I wanted to operate the plugin originally:
Service duration: 30 mins
Slot step: 15 mins
Block before: 0
Block after: 15 mins
It correctly blocks a 15 minutes slot after the intended slot and also books the 30 minutes (so 2x 15 mins slots) but also blocks 2×15 mins (=30mins) before the booked slot.
Hi, we have checked on our end and did not find the issue again. Kindly share a short video showing the steps you are taking and the issue occurring, so we can check accordingly.

Hi, thank you for reaching out.
Here is the first video with my custom configuration (30 min duration, 15 min timeslots, 15 min block after): https://vimeo.com/1094039245/12b9ff2c98?share=copy
The second video shows nearly the same issue with following configuration (15 min duration, 15 min timeslots, 15 mins block after): https://vimeo.com/1094041430/a95784bd3f?share=copy
EDIT: Both on a fresh local install (only elementor + your plugin installed)
