    Hello,

    I have a new website that is currently under maintenance. I was testing its functionality, particularly the checkout process, and encountered an issue when using the Cash on Delivery payment option.

    The following error appears during checkout:

    There was an error processing your order. Please check for any charges in your payment method and review your order history before placing the order again.

  • Its a huge problem, I have the same. I even did a backup to the date when there was no problem, and its still not fixed. My hosting company doenst know and my pay provider has no idea. So Iam totally stuck on this one.

    I just posted this in the wrong section, but I still need your help.
    I have a huge problem, my hostingcompany doesnt know how to fix it and neither does the payprovider.

    Its not an easy fix I guess, I backed up the whole system when it was all working fine, no result, still the same error.
    I have four “specialist”from Hostinger who has looked in to it, and neither one has a fix that actually works.

    Another thing that is strange, is that I also dont receive any mails in my mailbox from these orders (so also no mails about failed orders). The orders appear in the woocommerce dashboard, but not in my mailbox.
    Does someone knows what to do. Iam really worried that my lifes work is death.

    Thanks for reaching out. Could you let me know which payment gateway you’re using?

    Though, this is unusual because cash on delivery shouldn’t charge a payment method. Please double-check your payment settings in WooCommerce and ensure cash on delivery is correctly configured. Here’s a documentation about it: https://woocommerce.com/document/cash-on-delivery/

    If the issue persists, kindly send a System Status Report so I can check further, you can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status, selecting Get system report, and then Copy for Support.

    Also, having the URL of a product where this issue occurs and a screenshot of the order details (like this: https://snipboard.io/xXvB74.jpg) would be helpful.

    @vincent1709 I’ve replied to your thread here, indicated some suggestions and asked for a bit more details, kindly mention there if this also happens when using cash on delivery payment method. Let’s have separate threads because even if the error message is the same, sites can be set up differently.
