I opened a post for this issue 8 months ago:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/issue-with-comments-notifications-from-last-version/

I waited all this time in case any new version solved it, but the issue remains. Since that version, any role editor receives every new comment notification email.

I already had this option disabled in the WordPress comment options, and in Cleantalk, in the advanced settings (“Notify users with selected roles about new approved comments”), I have only marked that these emails are received by the Administrator. I have tried to give permissions to another role, to try to force it to only sent the emails to the Administrator and to that other role, but likewise, all WP profiles with permissions to publish receive these emails.

These mails are only received with Cleantalk active, if I uncheck the “Notify users with selected roles about new approved comments” option, then they stop being sent, Administrator included. It simply doesn’t respect that they are only sent to the Administrator, it does not matter if the rest of the roles are deactivated.

You told me this in your answer 8 months ago:
“Could you check if your mail client has redirection or auto-forward to other users?”

My mail client doesn’t configured for this, the issue only occurs with the “Notify users with selected roles about new approved comments” option actived.
