Issue with “Default (as per settings)”

    Hello FG Support,

    I’m reporting a FooGallery issue regarding the image caption and description on the Simple Portfolio gallery type. It has an easy work-around but is obviously a bug. It appeared for the first time in v1.4.30.

    All of my galleries pull the image caption from the Attachment Alt Text, and the image description from the Attachment Caption. I set these preferences on the FooGallery main settings page, and the galleries are set to “Default (as per settings)”.

    That worked fine until v1.4.30, which ignores the main settings and pulls the image caption from the Attachment Caption and the image description from the Attachment Description. The work-around is to change from “Default (as per settings)” to the desired sources at the gallery level.

    Have exactly the same issue. Yes, I think this is a bug for more than just the simple-portfolio layout.

    Thanks for reporting this. I have reproduced the bug and found a fix. I will release an update today.
