Hi,

I just noticed that (at least) two pages on my site give an ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS and cannot be opened (see https://de-starterwebsite.nl/wordpress-handleiding-het-beheer-van-paginas/ and https://de-starterwebsite.nl/wordpress-beheer-van-berichten/).

I googled for this error and found some information on a possible problem with SSL. I tested my site @ https://varvy.com/tools/redirects/ and think there is an issue with my redirects.

Since last year I have SSL and use Really Simple SSL plugin on my site.

Do you happen to know what the issue is and what I can do to solve this problem?

Hi Monique,

a redirect loop occurs when a redirect when both a redirect to http:// and https:// are active at the same time. To fix this, you can locate the redirect to http:// and remove it. See https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/my-website-is-in-a-redirect-loop/ for more information.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. After some investigation I found out that the problem was caused by a conflict between permalink manager and some 301 redirects in Yoast SEO plugin. Sorry to bother you!
