• Hello and good day to you πŸ™‚

I’ve used the “GenerateBlocks” plugin and setup a container using the google font “Permanent Marker”, as you can see on this screenshot. There’s also a “Font Family Fallback” parameter set to “handwriting”.

Now I have tried to embed all google-fonts used on this site via OMGF by following all 4 Quickstart steps. The caching plugin is not active.

Now I have opened the site in Private Mode, but unfortunately the text “Folgendes auf Dich zutrifft:” is not displayed using Permanent Marker and not even falling back to handwriting style.

I wonder if you can help me troubleshooting this situation? I can provide admin-access to the backend if needed.

    Thank you
    Sascha

Hi! Perhaps the font is only loaded on that page?

OMGF works according to web optimization principles, one of these principles is that you don’t use different fonts on different pages.

E.g. If the font is only used on one page, chances are OMGF didn’t detect it. That’s why it’s removed, but not replaced.

Let me know if it helps.

    Hi Sascha,

Just wanted to get back to you that I recently released OMGF v4, which includes a performance optimization when it comes to loading fonts: instead of loading the same fonts on all pages. It now loads *only* the fonts that’re used on that page.

Give it a try, let me know how it goes!
